- • Coaches entering central Rome pay a ZTL permit and may only stop at official coach points.
- • Airports: Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO)
- • Most Italian tourist cities, including Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, Verona and Naples, charge tourist coaches to enter their limited-traffic zones (ZTL), usually paid online in advance; coaches stop only at set drop-off points.
- • Venice coaches stop at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma; the group continues by water bus.
- • Motorway tolls (autostrade) are charged by vehicle class.
- • Narrow coastal roads limit coach length: coaches over 10.36 m are barred by day from the Amalfi Coast road (SS163) and full-size coaches cannot reach Portofino, so groups use midi coaches or ferries.
