Local rules that change the price
- • Coaches over 3.5 t pay a lump-sum heavy-vehicle charge (PSVA); foreign coaches buy it for the days they spend in Switzerland, in the Via app or at a staffed border crossing.
- • Mountain resorts such as Zermatt are car-free: coaches stop at Täsch and the group continues by shuttle train.
- • Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF); VAT is 8.1%.
- • Foreign-registered coaches may not carry passengers between two points inside Switzerland (cabotage ban); trips wholly within Switzerland use a Swiss-registered coach.
