Ski trips need winter tyres or chains, a driver used to mountain roads and room for skis and boots. Mountain roads close in bad weather, so we build a buffer into the timetable.

Before you book
- ✓ Count skis, snowboards and boot bags as luggage.
- ✓ Plan an early start — mountain traffic builds by mid-morning.
- ✓ Hotel or lift-base address at the resort for the drop-off.
- ✓ Keep a flexible return time in case of road closures.
- • Coach drop-offs and pick-ups at Schwanenplatz and Löwenplatz must be booked online in advance; coaches then wait at designated coach parks outside the centre.
- • Coaches over 3.5 t pay a lump-sum heavy-vehicle charge (PSVA); foreign coaches buy it for the days they spend in Switzerland, in the Via app or at a staffed border crossing.
- • Mountain resorts such as Zermatt are car-free: coaches stop at Täsch and the group continues by shuttle train.
